| How do I get a Java 1.1 interpreter? If you have Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or Netscape 4.08, you already have a Java 1.1 interpreter, as it comes with either product. Simply run one of them in place of the browser you are now using. Otherwise download the latest free version of either one. Sun Microsystems, Inc. also provides a Java 1.1 interpreter in their JRE (Java Runtime Environment) and JDK™ (Java Developers Kit). Both are free and can be downloaded from their web page. |
