Just a quick note to let you know that the original Nathan Hale was on what was called School Street, now O'Hara Place in Halesite. My Grandparents lived next door to the school. In those days my Mother and her siblings all attended the school.
My Grandparents had installed a bathroom back then and the school only had an out house --therefore, everyone went to my Grandparents to use the new modern facilities.
Actually School Street is across East Shore Road opposite Halesite Park where the whale came in...
