Judging from the observations below from Sheila, Joel and the others it seems that I'll have to revise the hypothesis that these pics were taken in '52---looks like it was probably '55 but need more info--and more ID's--if these were '55, than Toaz leaders shown were '58??--c'mon, guys--show me where I was wrong--Jack

Thanks for Prospect street I was trying to remember that one and couldn't. What was the name of the street that came off of New York Ave. up by Openheim Collins and the car dealer that went up a slight hill and went down by the Woodbury School on to Woodbury Ave.? Well I wish I had some pictures for you I will check my mom and dad's box…
Fran

Note: Fran, from Huntington Theater heading toward the station, I remember on the left side Carver Street, then Fairview(?)--(High Street came in on the other side of NY Ave from Fairview). Oppenheim Collins, which Jane has reminded me used to be the old Huntington Hotel, was on the corner of Fairview(?) --across this street on the same side of NY Ave was Rodenhurst(?) Chevrolet--the next couple of streets on left side going toward the station were Dewey, Sammis, Oakland, etc. --On the right side of NY Ave going toward the station, after High Street the next street up was Hillcrest St (I think somewhat across from Dewey). This was a hill that I think crossed Soundview(?) and ended at Woodbury--on the south corner of Hillcrest was Bob's Rambler before the cemetary--I think this is the dealer you were thinking of--must be real easy for those of you who still live in Huntington--c'mon folks, straighten us out--Jack

Photo3, blowup B : Trombone player on left could be Dave Bryson '55.I'm fairly certain that the young majorette is Bernice Trusno.

Simpson Majorettes 2nd photo, center, in white I believe is Carol Kuhn '54--the blonde is BeverlyFrahm '55. I recognize the other two in photo but namesescape me for the moment.

Student leaders photo 2, blowup 2 center figure looks like Kay Holsten. I believe the frontline right is Barb. Nelz.
Holding banner on left could be Jackie Grotheer but that guess will need confirmation.

I checked out your photo's and came up with the following: Photo #9, 2nd. blow up on the far right in white uniform is Vivian McKay, center in white is Bernice Trusno. The 3rd Blow up: blonde twirler in black or blue uniform is Beverly Frahm, class of '55. Dark haired girl in dark uniform is Joan Pasquarella, also class of '55. I got this info from the year book of '55(the pictures of the Majorettes). It is my quess that the parade was in 1955. Pic # 10 looks like Eastern Military Academy Honor guards. I am leaning toward the scouts being Brownie troops. They wore Brown uniforms Girl Scout worn green. The hats resemble what I remember I wore in Brownies. That's just a guess-- see what everyone else has to say.
If this parade was in '55 the Toaz Student Leaders would have been from the high school class of "57. Betty Ann

Hi
The picture of the twirling is of us (I was one of them-- Fran Moon) in our year as juniors. Looking at the picture left to right in white is Vivian McKay, Bernice Trusno. Behind Vivian is Fran Fiori. The left is Dot O'Brien, Avalon Probst--the rest are me (Fran Moon), Victoria Elsner, Dot Saviero, Louisa Corsa, and Joan Mele-- I can't see who is who .The girls in the dark blue were seniors. I would have to look them up in an old book…

Toaz did have uniforms--band director was Rufus Kerns--this picture does not match this info--look at band director on left.
I think that this was an elementary band.
