get enough of it!

and then there was Friday night before the Mini...
...a bunch of us had checked into the Davis Bros motel in Bartow...unaccountably, a party suddenly broke out in Barbara Conroy Grignon's room, chosen because a) the door was open, b) it was on the ground floor near the pool, and c) because a bar had been set up in it by Betty Ann Sammis Michta, Barbara, and their gang--it was of course properly chaperoned by the intrepid photographer (photo above), temporarily separated from his bicycle-type thing...
after a while we had solid party going...here are a couple of the usual suspects:

...after a while, Barbara and I decided to walk the short distance to the motel bar to see if anybody else had checked in...before we got to the lounge, a youg twenty-something girl laid her hand on my arm and asked Barbara if she could "borrow me" -- Barbara shrugged ("go ahead, he isn't mine") and curious, followed us across the hall to a large conference room filled with females of all ages--grandmas, moms, and kids, mostly in their twenties. Turned out that I was attending my very first bridal shower ever! At first confused, managed to piece together that they wanted me to judge a contest of gowns worn by four of the girls--and all the gowns were made of Toilet Paper!
Seeing my confusion, barbara did the logical thing to support me--she ran back to our party for a camera, and returned shortly with Betty Ann Sammis and my wife--and the camera, three photos from which are below...and no, I didn't make this up...and no, I've no idea why this sort of thing keeps happening to me...Jack
