I left school during my senior year, so I wasn't part of the graduation. Bob and I married and our son Thomas was born 7/7/56, daughters, Linda 10/2/59 and Janine 5/1/64. Luckily, they all live on Long Island. I wish they all lived in the same town as we. Our five grandchildren are the light of my life. :-) I went back to night school during my third pregnancy and received my high school diploma, which I am very proud of. Bob graduated from South Huntington High School, class of '53. We lived on West 13th St., Huntington Station with Bob's parents for the first year and a half of marriage, then seven years in an apartment above Twin Town Chrysler Plymouth on New York Ave. in Huntington. It was right across from Hush-A-Bye and diagonally across from the cemetery. Does any one remember those names? We moved to East Northport in 1964 and here we are still. I work full time at Genovese Drugstore (now part of Eckerd Drugs) on Jericho Turnpike in Elwood in pharmacy and Hallmark cards. I don't use our home computer, but thanks to Bob I get all my e-mail and he does the communicating for me. He refers to himself as my personal assistant. This is fine with me as I don't have as much time as he does, or patience. I would rather talk on the phone to communicate. I love reading all the autobiographies and am very grateful to be a part of all this. Thank you, all. Margaret |
