Began college in Vermont. Quit after 2 years. Moved to NYC - east 14th Street (now the East Village, then the Lower East Side J). Roomed with Susie Macfarlane. She got married, and a friend from Bennington moved in. I enrolled at NYU, receiving a degree in elementary education in '62.

Married in July of '62, setting out for Southern California via Route 66 after the reception. With the exception of a 5 year break ('72-'77) in the Boston area, I have lived here (Pasadena - home of the Rose Parade) ever since.

Taught junior high school for 7 ½ years, was a dilettante for a couple of years, then went back to school. Got an MBA from Boston University in '77. My husband died in 1979. We had no children. Worked as an administrator in various schools and research institutes at the University of Southern California until my retirement at the end of '95.

Since my retirement, I've become something of a school junkie - I have missed only a couple of semesters. Among other things, I've developed an abiding interest in the Indians of the Southwest. I also have a little (financial) consulting business, which keeps me busy a couple of days a week.
