Jean with...

five of eight grandkids

Here is a photo of our magic carpet, which has served us well in all types of weather. This was taken coming home from a trip to New Mexico... as you can see I need a little help when it comes to packing lite...
Hi:
After seeing all the interesting bios on the website I thought it might save time and shocks if I updated you and sent a couple of recent photos.

I married George Neil, class of '55, after finishing nursing @ St. Lukes in NYC and his graduation from St. Lawrence. We have 3 children and 8 grandchildren.

During the interim:

We lived in Sydney, Australia for 3 years during our 30's. There we enjoyed the outdoor life sailing (we lived on Sydney Harbor), tennis and skiing.

We lived in Japan for 7 years during our 40's - much different than Australia. Japan is more indoors and mental. I concentrated on studying Ikebana ( Japanese flower arranging) and achieved the level of "associate master" as well as studying Sumei, the Japanese art of painting (screens etc). Both are rewarding to this day.

Now during our 50's and 60's we live in Pinehurst, a resort town in NC and revel in our grandchildren, dabble in golf and tennis. Oh, by the way, I received my pilots license in self-defense since George insists on flying a small plane around the country-- especially the Southwest.

Looking forward to seeing you in Florida.
