After graduation, I attended
Hood College then graduated from N.Y.U. with a BA. in English and art.
I received a M.S. in Psychology from N.Y.U. in 1963, was married and
lived in Philadelphia where my daughter, Lisa, was born. During this
time,
I worked as a counselor in a special secondary school. However, my real
love was always theatre, so returning to the Big Apple (actually, Livingston,
N.J.), I hotlypursued a career in musical theatre.
I enjoyed a wonderful 16 years doing Broadway musicals, including, Fiddler,
Hello Dolly, Man of La Mancha, Little Mary Sunshine, The Boyfriend, The Pajama
Game, among my favorites. During these years, I made many commercials, and
also had a club act which I performed in New York, Denver, Dallas.
Along the way, I was divorced, a single parent, then remarried to Tom Bonito,
and the mother of a son, Andrew. Lisa is married and the mother of Ava and
Simon, a graduate of Smith College and N.Y.U. Graduate School of Business.
She has her
own public relations business and writes music and lyrics. Andrew has just
graduated from The College of Wooster in Ohio and hopes to be a lobbiest.
The saga continues. In 1986, having decided that working every night and weekend
was wonderful but causing me to miss too many of my children"s activities,
I returned to school and got a MSW from Rutgers. Presently, I have a therapy
practice and consult to an inner city special ed program. I love gardening,
was on the school board for twelve years, produce a summer concert series, cook
a lot, paint,
and am considering a new career (open to suggestions).
I'm so grateful to our classmates who have worked so hard to locate us and
put this
reunion together, and can't wait to see everyone!
