After I graduated I got a job as a Girl Friday in a small office. I married Jim in 1956, moved to Levittown and had four wonderful boys a year apart. I stayed home after that until the boys where older and went back to work in an eyeglass company, Luxottica, doing customer service and taking frame orders--names like Georgio Armani, YSL, Polo, many other name brands. Luxottica owns Lens Crafters now.

I retired in 1996 and my husband did too from LILCO. We moved to a quiet little town in Sweet Water, Tennessee. My husband is from here; I met him when my brother brought him home on leave from the Army.

My oldest son James 41 lives just about 15 min away, he has three little children (6,5,3) that I get to see quite often. He is an auto mechanic. My second son John lives in Florida divorced has 3 teen agers. He is a welder, and he made that big "Golf Ball" at Epcot in Disney Word. My third son Bill is in Texas with 2 grown stepkids. Married to a Capt. in the Air Force, she is a few years older then him. His nick name is Spider Man because he swings off buildings water proofing. He is a foreman for his Co. My last son Steven we lost in a motorcycle accident in 1987 while he was stationed in Germany in the Air Force-- he was 23 at the time.

We don't do much since we retired-- we feel we are on vacation all the time now. We got our travels out of our systems now we take one day trips and visit our boys and spend time with our grandchildren. My life was more exciting raising my boys.
We are living a very quiet life now, it is so nice to come and go as we please. I
love my life, I still love New York and the Mets.
